When I'm on the road, I typically do not put in a lot of hours playing online cash games. I'm usually too tired from playing a live tournament all day and end up just hanging out with friends playing chinese poker, gambling in the pit, or getting drunk. Since I got back from vegas, I've tried to put in a lot of hours playing cash games. I've mostly been playing a mix of games from 2/4 NL - 10/20 NL both full ring and six max. Most of the hands have been played at the 2/4 400$ buyin level. Towards the end of last year and beginning of this year I got a lot of coaching from Rob (BobboFitos online). I think his coaching help me think about the game on a much deeper theoretical level, but I needed to put in some hands to try these ideas in practice. Moving down in stakes from 5/10 - 2/4 has allowed me to work on my game without being as worried about the money. I've had quite a bit of success in the last two weeks, winning about 16k. Not a bad way too end the month.
I don't think I'm making any more live trips until the world series of poker, so I expect to continue to play a lot of online poker between now and the end of may. I'm going to put in more hands at 2/4 and 3/6 working on my game.
